About the course
If you have the desire to turn your passion for computers into a career, the IT and Web Development Diploma offered by PET-Xi is definitely a course you should consider.
The Level 4 modules and assignments of this course are equivalent to the first year of a University Degree.
Our online Level 4 IT and Web Development course is a 120-credit course, it includes 10 modules and written assignments at Level 4. While completing the course, students will have access to a variety of support services, including Tutor Support and Webinars, a Social Learning Forum, and additional materials to help in the completion of their Diploma course.
Level 4 Modules:
Computer systems and software
This module will develop learners’ understanding of the integration of hardware and software components.
Learners will use different tools and techniques to design, implement and test programs, following the system life cycle.
Relational database systems
This unit will develop learners’ understanding of database systems and data analysis and modelling.
Leaners will gain an understanding of the need for Software Engineering and the different methods and techniques.
Systems analysis and design
This module provides an understanding of IS concepts and how they relate to organisation needs in respect of business processes and transformation of information.
E- Commerce applications
This module explores the role of e-commerce in the modern world.
Human computer interaction
This module will develop students understanding of principles and models of human computer Interaction and evaluate existing design and use this to help them plan their own prototype multimedia user interface.
IT and society
This module examines the impact of technology on society and explores trends and changes created.
Information systems project management
This module explores elements of project management which is the key to a successful development and implementation of a specific IT project.
Management information systems
This module focuses on understanding concepts of information systems and how they support business needs in terms of information processing and data processing.
